Last season, the coaches for every team alternated foreign players 15 times during the season (five one time alternations, ten alternations during season) in order to get higher scores.

This season, with one opening ahead, many hired foreign players are saying, ``The team that I am playing on will win.`` There are that many strong players.

Samsung`s Artemus McClary has shown tireless attack power and his generous personality makes it easy for him to work with his teammates. Furthermore, aside from selecting Woo Ji Won over Moon Kyung Eun, the team roster remains the same, the team organization experienced no problems, and McClary has secured the MVP two years in a row.

McClary`s biggest rival is Johnny McDowell (SK Bigs) who was voted MVP three times in a row from 1997-98 seasons. This is McDowell`s fifth season on the Korean court and has now become a guardian deity figure over the court. Having turned in his old team, Hyundai KCC, uniform for the SK Bigs, McDowell is looking to wage a spiritually charged battle on the court. The only drawback is that he will no longer play as a pair with Lee Sang Min. However, his teaming up with the new center Earl Ike of SK Bigs with his superb assists is seen as a resurrection of the invincible `MacDowell-Jay Webb` combo which won Hyundai its first victory in the 1997-8 season.

On top of this, the number one picks who have not yet won the MVP during the past five seasons are dreaming of a revolution.

Top pick last season, Michael Maddux (Korea Tender), who could not perform at his best due to a car accident just before the season began, has overcome his injuries and grinding his axe. With excellent assists and outside shooting, Seo Jang Hoon (SK Knights) acknowledged Maddux as the best foreign center playing in Korea.

Tong Yang`s number one pick Marcus Hicks performed brilliantly in the practice games with his quick feet and sharp vision. He has transformed the Tong Yang team into a powerhouse team.

Also, Roderick Hannibal, the `master of defense` of the SK Knights and Jackie Johns of the KCC, whose rebounds and block shots are number one in the KBA, are aiming for the MVP.
