Pak Se-Ri (Samsung Electronics) and Kim Mi-Hyun (KTF) encountered each other yesterday in the third round of the Evian Masters of the US LPGA tour (total prize of $2.1 million) at the Evian Royal Golf Club (par 72, 6091 yard) in France.
Pak Se-Ri and Kim Mi-Hyun who respectively ranked the fourth (7-under-par 137 in total) and the fifth place (6-under-par 138 in total) after the second round, started the unyielding shot contest with Fukushima Akiko. It is the fourth time that Pak and Kim play in the same group in the PGA tour.
Pak had caught one eagle and five birdies only in the par-5 holes with her long drive shots through the second round, and Kim responded with an accurate iron shot and highly sensitive putting, earning 6 birdies only in the par-3 holes.
Meanwhile, Maria Hjorth (Sweden) who is the current leader (10-under-par 134 in total) recording 7-under-par 65 in the second round, teed off the third round with Sophie Gustafson (Sweden) and Beth Daniel (US).
