Samsung Released 9.8 mm `Slim Phone`

The slimmest cellular phone appeared.

Samsung Electronics released yesterday a flip type cellular phone, `AnyCall Slim Phone` (Model No. SPH-N2000), which is only 9.8 mm thick.

The bar-type Japanese cellular phone has been the only slim phone thinner than 1 cm and the Samsung`s new phone is the first one of a flip type phone in such a slim size.

The Samsung Electronic explained that the phone was designed to save more electricity, which made the use of a thinner battery possible and slim design techniques were applied to the parts and case.

The new phone of the 2nd generation CDMA (IS-95B) is equipped with the 8 lines large LCD and an Internet browser (ME). The price is about 300 thousands won.
