Satellite renders Korean ecological map

This is an ecological map of the Korean peninsula that the Ministry of Environment assembled by synthesizing 23 different pictures of the peninsula taken by a U.S. resource search satellite, the Landsat TM. The picture shows a comparatively clear green belt around the demilitarized zone crossing the waist of the peninsula, displaying that the ecosystem of the region is preserved best.
