Seven female cadets of the Air Force Academy who are about to be commissioned second lieutenants in March went into a rudimentary flight training at the flight training squadron in Chongwon, North Chungchong Province, on Monday.
When they go through a total of 21 months of practice flying, consisting of four months of elementary instruction, eight months in an intermediate program and nine months of advanced training, the cadets will become the first batch of woman combat pilots in Korea in October 2002.
