Prosecutors announced today that legal action will be taken against 15 executive directors of the Korean Medical Association (KMA) and 30 core members of the hardline committee for regaining medical rights as the KMA enforced another nationwide doctors` walkout beginning this Friday.

However, taking into consideration the ongoing talks between the government and medical sector leaders, the prosecution said that it will await the outcome of negotiations until Thursday. If the discussions break down, prosecutors plan to issue subpoenas and arrest the leaders of the strike.

Prosecutors have questioned Lee Jun-Koo, co-representative of the Doctoral Fellow Association for interns and residents, who are still on strike, and plan to summon the other representative, Yoon Jong-Hyun.
