Kookmin Bank advances into playoff

Kookmin Bank Bigmen advanced into the playoff of four teams of the 2000 Women¡¯s Pro Basketball Championships for Hanvit Bank Trophy, July 18.

Kookmin could grab the final ticket for the playoff by edging Hyundai Construction and Engineering 78-74 at Masan Gymnasium.

Kim Kyung-Hee scored eight points in fourth quarter alone for her total 20, lifting Kookmin to beat Hyundai engineered by Jeon Ju-Won who recorded her another triple doubles.

Kookmin with 10 wins against 10 losses joined the playoff past Hanvit with nine wins against 10 losses.

The first match of the playoff will take place between Shinsegae and Kookmin, and Hyundai and Samsung Life Insurance in the best-of-five series from Thursday. Winners of the two groups will meet in the finals for the coveted trophy
