Fall is coming

Residents of the village of Wolya-myeon in Hampyeong County, South Jeolla Province, gather at a pavilion Tuesday to peel off covers of rush used to make traditional Korean mats. Aug. 23 will see "chuseo," one of the 24 seasonal divisions occurring around the end of August under the lunar calendar, when people wait for autumn to come.
