Men are on close watch for their female partners in ovulatory phase.

According to professor Steven Gangestad’s team of the U.S. University of New Mexico, women show more interest for other men than lovers during ovulatory phase, in which pregnancy is possible, and men strengthen their watch on women.

As the research team investigated against 51 women, their interest or fantasy for other men than their partners increased during ovulatory phase.

Also, 30 Per Cent of women answered that their partners increased watch on them by calling more often than usual, asking for where-about.

As men show closer guard, women’s interest for other men increased. However, it is surveyed that no woman actually indulges into physical relationship with another man.

Also, women wanted more tough looking men for short-term relationship, but kind and polite men for long-term relationship.

”Evolutionistic-wise, it is advantageous for women to have relationship also with other men to have new genes, and ovulatory phase is the suitable time for such genetic benefits,” said Gangestad.
