Samsung Electronics released its "Galaxy S6" event invitation featuring an image of a curved display Tuesday on its blog Samsung Tomorrow (www. samsungtomorrow.com).

The firm dispatched invitations to the event to major global businesses and partners, and media. The invitations are for its event at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, where the electronics giant will be pulling the curtains off to finally reveal the Galaxy S6 on March 1.

The invitation shows what looks like a curved edge of a smartphone on a black background alongside a simple message that reads “What’s Next,” hinting at the possibility of the S6 sporting a metal curved edge display as seen in Galaxy Note Edge.

Galaxy S6 is known to embed tentatively named "Samsung Pay," a mobile payment service developed by the electronics firm. Samsung Electronics is rumored to be negotiating with U.S. mobile payment technology startup LoopPay for the Samsung Pay service. The startup has a magnetic secure transmission technology that enables automatic payment when a smartphone nears a magnetic card payment machine.

Samsung Electronics is known to be talking with major credit card firms for the service in the U.S. Currently, it offers mobile payment service using Galaxy smartphones in Korea and China.
