Pandemonium in the National Assembly

Residents from areas linking Namhae and Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province, and the counties of Damyang, Gokseong and Gurye, South Jeolla Province, flocked to the public service center of the National Assembly`s main hall Friday to protest the potential abolition of their electoral districts ahead of the general elections in April. They were dragged out by security guards. They demanded in vain a face-to-face meeting with Rep. Joo Sung-young of the ruling Saenuri Party, who is an assistant administrator of the parliamentary special committee on political reform, and assistant administrator Park Ki-chun, a member of the main opposition Democratic United Party.
