Back after 105 years

Twelve hundred ancient Korean books that had been looted during Japanese colonial rule of Korea and stored at the Japanese Imperial Household Agency were returned to their motherland via a Korean Air flight Tuesday. The books have been returned 105 years after Hirobumi Ito, Japan`s first governor-general of colonial Korea, looted them between 1906 and 1909 and 89 years after another governor general took them away in 1922. Container boxes containing the books unloaded from the airplane are transported via a freight depot to a venue for a reception ceremony in front of the freight gate at Incheon International Airport.
