Rape case involving US soldier

A private from a communications brigade of the 8th U.S. Army leaves Mapo Police Station Wednesday in Seoul with U.S. military police. He was summoned to the police station early in the morning for questioning about allegations that he broke into a high school girl`s room while she was sleeping and raped her. Police interrogated the soldier based on evidence taken from the crime scene, a variety of circumstances and the victim’s statements. The man denied the charge, saying the sex was consensual. Police will send the case to prosecutors Friday without summoning the suspect for additional questioning.
