Vaulting to a new record

Choi Yoon-hee sets a new Korean record of 4.40 meters in the finals of the women’s pole vault held at Daegu Stadium Friday. She broke Yim Eun-ji’s national record of 4.35 meters set 26 months ago. Choi passed the B-standard record of 4.40 meters for the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011 to be held in August. The smaller photo shows Choi shedding tears in an interview.
