Animal rights documentary

Participants weep while watching video clips of pigs buried alive due to foot-and-mouth disease at a news conference to release the documentary “Crying of Pigs Buried Alive” at the grand chapel of the Korean religion Cheondoism, which is rooted in Korean shamanism, Taoism and Korean Buddhism mixed with elements of Christianity. The event was hosted by 35 religious organizations including those of Cheondoism, Won Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism and Buddhism. Produced by the Animal Love Council, the video graphically documented and showcased images of 1,900 pigs buried alive (right).
