Bloodshed in Bangkok

Anti-government demonstrations that caused a virtual state of civil war and dozens of deaths have ended through a military and police operation to forcefully disperse protestors. The Thai government mobilized more than 40 armored vehicles and thousands of military and police troops at 6 a.m. Wednesday local time, dismantled barricades, and took over the Rajprasong area, which had been occupied by anti-government demonstrators.
