Im so happy to score a goal in the first game of this year. Im looking forward to the rest of the season.
Lee Chung-yong, 22, scored his fourth goal of the season for the Bolton Wanderers of the English Premier League yesterday. Bolton posted a 4-0 home win over Lincoln City in the FA Cups fourth round.
At the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, England, Lee scored in the 51st minute with his team leading, 1-0. Taking a pass from Ivan Klasnic inside the penalty area, he shot the ball with his right foot for the goal.
Lee was replaced by Tamir Cohen in the 80th minute.
The Koreans goal was his first in an FA Cup game and came 18 days after he scored in a league game against West Ham Dec. 15.
With two goals and an assist in his last five games, Lee has become an important component of the Bolton attack.
The team this season has won all four games in which Lee has scored. He scored his first goal in a 2-1 win over Birmingham City Sept. 26, his second in a 3-2 victory over Everton Oct. 25, and his third in a 3-1 triumph over West Ham Dec. 15.
The Wanderers advanced to the FA Cups round of 32. They have also gone one win and two draws when Lee has an assist.
