A rally condemning Japans latest claim to the Dokdo islets yesterday has North Gyeongsang Province Governor Kim Gwan-yong (fourth from the left) and other participants crying hurrahs while holding up the national flag. They blasted Japans decision to describe Dokdo as Japanese territory in a guidebook for middle school textbooks, saying the claim will destroy bilateral trust and that Japan must stick to a minimum level of sense to give a proper historical view to its youths. More than 90 people attended, including the provinces council chairman Lee Sang-cheon; educational supervisor Cho Byeong-in; and chief of police Yun Jae-ok.
