Korea and the United States resumed negotiations over beef imports after a six-month hiatus. At the senior-level negotiations of experts over amendment provisions on imported U.S. beef, Min Dong-seok, assistant minister for Agricultural Trade Policy (right), shakes hands with Ellen Terpstra, Deputy Under-Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services. If the two sides strike an agreement through these negotiations, the Korean government, after an internal review, will officially announce next week the restart of U.S. beef imports.
