BOK Holds First Monetary Policy Committee Meeting

The Bank of Korea Governor, Lee Seong-tae, begins a meeting by banging the gavel at this year’s first meeting of the Bank of Korea’s Monetary Policy Committee held in a conference room at the central bank on Jan. 10, 2008. The committee has decided to secure the overnight call rate at five percent.
