A survey revealed four out of 10 workers drink alcohol ten times or more a month in South Korea.
An online placement agency, Career, announced the result of its recent poll of 1,109 office workers drinking habits on July 4.
According to the survey, 33.3 percent said they have two or three drinking sessions a week, and 4.5 percent of them responded that they drink alcohol everyday, which means four out of ten workers drink alcohol ten times or more a month.
Also, 29.4 percent of people have a drink once a week, and drinking once or twice a month was put down as a response by 19.3 percent. Only 13.5 percent of respondents said that they rarely drink.
Among the respondents, 57.9 percent said that they would go for a second round of drinking, and 21.0 percent said they finished after the first drinking round. As high as 21.2 percent of workers said they would go three rounds or more.
Therefore, 33.9 percent of respondents think they often excessively drink, and 25.2 percent of them said they usually drink too much. Only 14.1 percent of workers said they would not exceed their drinking capacity.
