IAAF World Championships

Daegu is busy making last minute efforts preparing for the field survey the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) will do on candidate cities for the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics. The field survey for Daegu will last four days starting February 22. People are hanging a large banner up that says: “The 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Daegu” in Daegu World Cup Stadium. The IAAF field survey group that consists of eight members is going to arrive at Daegu on February 22 and leave on February 25. Candidate cities competing against Daegu include Brisbane, Australia and Moscow.
