The American media on October 16 (local time) quoted a well-informed source that signs that North Korea is preparing for another nuclear testing, following the first testing on October 9, have been caught.
Suspicious movement of vehicles and persons was observed by the American inspection satellite around the first testing spot in North Korea (presumed to be Hwaseong-gun, Hambuk), reported NBC.
ABC also reported that it is presumed North Korea will hold a second nuclear test, also giving the same details as NBC.
AFP news agency reported, A U.S. government official said that such movements might not necessarily move to another testing site and cannot be seen as the evidence for it, even though we do not exclude the possibility that it is an indication.
The threats to a second nuclear test will only solidify the resolution of the international community against the North Korean regime, Tony Snow, the spokesman for the White House, said. The promises made among the neighboring nations that bad acts will not pay and will only lead to punishment will be kept more strongly.
Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso indicated that he had received a notification of some sort from the U.S. government, saying at the press conference on October 17, I have received the data (on the second nuclear testing) but cannot make any comments.
Meanwhile, the North Korean Foreign Ministry, commenting on the adoption by the U.N. Security Council of the resolution to make sanctions on NK, said, It follows the scenario written by the U.S. and is a declaration of war against us. We will watch the movement of the U.S. for now and take corresponding measures. North Korea pointed to the possibility of another nuclear testing by saying so.
The North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed such point, saying in the statements it announced on the same day, Whoever tries to harm the tip of the hair of our sovereignty and survival, hoisting the U.N. Security Council resolutions, will be severely attacked." This announcement by the North Korean Foreign Ministry is the first official reaction it has given to the resolutions adopted by the U.N. Security Council on October 15 (Korean time).
It does not make sense that a nation which stood aloft against all the storms and hurricanes without a nuclear weapon in the past should surrender to pressures or threats when it has become a nuclear power, added the spokesman.
