Park Ji-sung’s absence might be too bitter for Manchester United to stand. Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United mentioned that Park could rejoin the squad earlier than estimated. In an article posted on the official website of Manchester United, titled “Boss Laments Duo’s Absence,” it has been reported that Ferguson hopes to have Park back in action soon.

Ferguson said that in addition to the void of Ryan Giggs (33), suffering from a hamstring injury, “Park’s absence is a bitter blow.” He continued that, “He had a successful operation last week, so hopefully he will be back fit and well.”

The Reds boss explained that although Park was given the prognosis of three months out, that is only a timeline. He predicted that, “We should have him back at least in training after three months. But, if the rehabilitation is a success and he shows a good recovery, he may be back playing in that time.”

Park has recently embarked on a rehabilitation program provided by the team.
