South Korea finished second with eight gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals, runner-up to Colombia (16 gold, 15 silver, 11 bronze) at the World Inline Speed Skating Championships in Anyang on September 9.
In the juniors section, Korea won eight gold medals, including Lee Suls (15, Gwangyo Girls` Middle School) win in the womens marathon, but the team experienced that the world championship was no easy match as they did not win any gold medals in the senior section. In the mens junior category, Lee Myung-kyu (17, Seongho High School) was a three time winner, and Kuok Chae-yi (19, Anyang City), the inline fairy, who made her debut in the senior section, won a silver and bronze medal each.
