Parliamentary re-elections and by-elections will be held in Seongbuk B, Songpa A in Seoul, Sosa Bucheon in Gyeonggi Province, and Masan A in South Gyeongsang Province on July 26. The voting will begin at 6 o’clock in the morning and close at 8:00 in the evening and take place at the polls in each district, and the outline of the results will appear as early as 10:00 in the evening, according to the National Election Commission.

On July 25, the day before the elections, the leaders in the governing party and the opposition party gave out their fullest efforts supporting the candidates in the competing regions, including Seongbuk B. It was initially predicted that the Grand National Party would be predominant in all regions, but the “flood golf” scandal that emerged during the election period concerning some of the assemblymen of the Grand National Party caused confusions in some regions.
