Base Debate

On May 14, Hanchongryeon (the Korea Federation of University Student Councils), the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Korean Teachers and Education Worker`s Union, the Democratic Labor Party and others opposing the expansion and relocation of the USFK base are confronting police forces while attempting to enter Daechu-ri, Pyeongtaek, the planned site of a U.S. base relocation (above). There are placards opposing violent demonstrations hanging over their heads.
