Party Apology

Han Hwa-kap, the head of the Democratic party, made a public apology on April 25 at his office, dropping his head, for a scandal where secretary general Cho Jae-hwan of the party received 400 million won in donations related to public recommendations. Han said, “Eleven lawmakers of our party decided to give back their monthly pay for May, and senior members will also give back their monthly salary for May. If the worst scenario comes true, we will move out of the headquarters building and set up a tent in the street.”
