Let’s fly together

A crane family is flying over the Cheorwon plain near the civilian passage restriction line at Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do on December 15,. The Cheorwon plain is the place where white-naped cranes whose under-neck and chest are blue-grey, and cranes whose bodies are all white can be observed at the same time. About 800 cranes are wintering here. A white-naped crane (below) pictured at Junam reservoir, Dong-eup, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, has lost one leg and is having a hard and lonely winter.
