U.S. - China Summit Meeting

After many complications, President Hu Jintao of China (left) and U.S. President George W. Bush met in New York on September 13 at the summit meeting held in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the United Nations. The bilateral summit talks scheduled for September 7 was postponed due to Hurricane Katrina. The two leaders agreed to cooperate fully in bringing North Korea to abandon its nuclear programs.
