Things have finally started to look up for Park Se-ri (CJ) after she notched her first under par score in 34 days.

She accomplished this on June 17 in the first round of the Wegmans Rochester LPGA event held at the Locust Hill Country Club (par 72) in Pittsford, New York.

It was rainy and rather cold at 18C. Park Se-ri shot a two under par 70 with four birdies and two bogeys, good enough for joint possession of fifth place with Kim Cho-rong and other players. Park is six shots behind Becky Morgan (Wales), the “unexpected” leader who finished the day with an eight under par 64.

On average, Park’s driver shots flew 270 yards, and she placed 72.2 percent of her shots on the green, an improvement to about 50 percent, her season average.
