Thoughtless Parents

Police arrested a 20-something parents for reckless behavior. Their baby was allegedly suffocated to death while sleeping on her face after the parents left her alone at home in order to play an online game at an Internet café.

Namdong police booked “Y” (29) and his wife “S” (26) without detention on charges of accidental homicide and leaving their baby alone without any protective measures.

According to the police department, the couple emptied their house, Ganseok-dong in Namdong-gu, for five hours after their six-month old daughter fell asleep in the bedroom at around 4:00 p.m. on May 24 to play an Internet game, and the baby suffocated to death while sleeping on her face.

The investigation by the police revealed that the couple does not have regular jobs and often played an Internet game at nearby Internet café when their daughter was sleeping.
