World Automakers Are Moving to China

Shanghai GM, a Chinese affiliate company of General Motors, completed a new plant on May 28, pushing its annual production capacity to 320,000. Employees of Shanghai GM are celebrating the first production of Buick Excelle model. Investment in China by world automakers is growing, including the recent announcement of Nissan that it would expand the production line of its Guangzhou plant.
