Negotiate with Turkey? EU Representatives Reply with a Yea!

The EU Congress passed a resolution on December 15, encouraging EU leaders to “initiate negotiations to allow Turkey to join the EU as soon as possible.” The resolution, which was passed with 407 yeas, 262 nays, and 29 abstentions, does not hold any binding obligations on behalf of the EU members, but it is expected to have an effect on the upcoming EU summit talks starting on December 16.
