Wayne Chumley Appointed President of AMCHAM

AMCHAM introduced its new chairman, Wayne Chumley (51), the president of Daimler Chrysler Korea on December 15.

The newly selected chairman of AMCHAM, Chumley, will begin his one-year office term starting in January 2005.

Chumley, known to be a pro-Korea foreign businessman, first came to Korea in September 1996 when he was appointed president of Chrysler Korea’s Sales Division. He was then appointed as president of Daimler Chrysler Korea after the April 1999 merger between Daimler Benz and Chrysler.

Chumley is currently the vice president of AMCHAM, as well as the co-chair of the chamber’s automobile committee. He is also CEO of AMCHAM’s charity organization, the Future Partner’s Foundation.
