South Korea, Malaysia Participate In Joint Maritime Training Exercise

Special agents from the National Maritime Police are jumping from a helicopter during South Korea- Malaysia joint maritime training exercises held near the Langkawi Islands in the northeastern part of Malaysia on October 12. This joint training exercise is intended to increase South Korean maritime police adaptability in the Malaka Straits, near the Langkawi Islands, where sea crime rate is high. Also, the training is intended to prepare police against possible terrorist threats to South Korea from the sea.
