U.S. Southeast Struck Hard by Hurricane

Hurricane Charley, with its 233 kmph winds, swept through the southeast coast of the U.S. on August 14, hitting Florida hard. At least 15 people were killed and thousands more are homeless. The city of Punta Gorda, located in southeast Florida, was reduced to ruins.
