Leaving Seoul for Summer Vacation

Downtown Seoul was quieter with the vacation season starting and the rush to “leave Seoul” on Sunday August 1. The roads around Namdaemun seem to be empty (left). However, the highways in the country are suffering from the many cars heading towards vacation areas. National Highway 7 leading to Sokcho Daepohang Port in Gangwon Province is crowded with vacationers’ cars.
