An Anxious Park Chan-ho

The outlook of the comeback for Park Chan-ho (Texas Rangers) seems hazy.

As a member of the minor league Double A Frisco Roughriders, Park Chan-ho started for the team and allowed a home-run, nine hits, one walk and struck out three to end up giving away five runs and become the losing pitcher in his away match against the San Antonio Missions, a farm affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, on the 19th.

Park, who was on the injury list for 60 days, is eligible to return to the majors starting from the 20th, but his performance was not up to par when he started off on the Double A stage by giving away six runs in five and one-third innings, so if his play shows the slightest slip, his days in the minors will be extended or his name will be put back on the injury list. In regards to this, Park had an interview with an on-the-spot correspondent and expected only to raise conflict as he commented: "I can`t agree with the team`s policy to send me back to the minors."

Park allowed one walk, one stolen base, one sacrifice fly and one earned run head-to-head against Choo Shin-soo.

Bong Joong-geun (Cincinnati Reds) started for the Triple A minor league team Louisville Vets and recorded four hits, one walk, three strike outs and two runs (one earned run) in his home game against the Syracuse SkyChiefs (under the Toronto Blue jays) and led the team to a 5-2 victory. Bong has captured three consecutive wins as a starter.

Choi Hee-seop (Florida Marlins) came off the bench as a pinch hitter in his away game against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 9th inning with one out and a runner on first base with the team trailing 2-4, but made an out with a centerfield fly. Choi has zero pinch hits in 17 at-bats.
