The Constitutional Court will hold a general meeting on April 22 to discuss ways to select evidence and a timeframe for the impeachment trial, said Justice Joo Son-hoe, who is in charge of the case, on April 21.
The court will also discuss the level of sanction against Choi Do-sul, the former presidential secretary of General Affairs who refused to testify.
The National Assemblys impeachment commission will submit questions for Yeo Taek-soo, the former director of Presidential Office Annex 1, and Lotte Shopping President Shin Dong-in on April 22, one day ahead of the witness testimony.
In related development, Lawyers for a Democratic Society, an independent group pf human rights lawyers headed by Choi Byong-mo, said in a statement, The Constitutional Court should finish impeachment proceedings as soon as possible with a ruling that is consistent with the Constitution and the law as well as the peoples aspirations.
