President Roh Moo-hyun said on February 10 that, The government will pay respect to agreements between the government, business, and labor, even on the trivial matters. We will make sure the government division doesnt release countering policy that would act as an impediment on the tripartite contract.
While having breakfast with the participants of the 31st Korea Tripartite Commission meeting this day in Cheong Wa Dae, President Roh said, The government will actively intercede if the talk appears to be cut off.
In regards to the Social Contract for Job Creation, he emphasized that There is no such thing as a perfect social convention. We should not regard this contract as a completion but as a new start and have to supplement and develop it further so that it would lead to more extensive contract.
Commenting on the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), who is not currently participating in Korea Tripartite Committee, President Roh said, I got a report that KCTU is trying to change, and asked them to Please participate in the conversation table.
