Furtive Uncovering of “Mars’ Inner Skin’

A photo of the surface of Mars sent by Spirit, U.S. NASA’s Mars expedition robot, to Earth. The shapes and shadows of round and sharp rocks on Mars’ surface can be clearly seen. NASA explained that this photo, taken by a panorama camera with resolution of 12 million pixels inserted in Spirit, is three to four times clearer than photos taken before of Mars.
