US Commerce Department`s D-RAM Inspection Team in S. Korea

In the lobby of Samsung Electronics headquarters in Seoul, a US attorney representing Samsung (right) is welcoming the US Commerce Department delegation visiting South Korea to inspect the South Korean D-RAM industry. Opening their first day of official probe into Hynix, another South Korean semiconductor producer penalized by the US government, the US delegates visited the Ministry of Foreign Affair and Trade and Samsung to figure out whether the South Korean government has given subsidies to the semiconductor manufacturers. For the next two weeks until May 3rd, the US representatives will continue their inspection, visiting government agencies, Hynix and its creditors.
