Tomorrow, KOC Funeral ceremony for The Late Mr. Sohn Kee-jung

The funeral ceremony for the late Mr. Sohn Kee-jung ‘The hero of marathon’ will be opened at 9:00 am of 17th at Samsung Seoul Hospital.

The funeral ceremony will be progressed with introducing his profile, and memorial address by Lee Yun-Teak, the chairman of the funeral ceremony and of KOC, a wreath-laying, burning incense, the departure, etc.

After the ceremony, his body will be transferred to Olympic Hall at Oryun-dong, Songpa-gu of Seoul for road ceremony about 30 minutes, and then will be buried in Daejun National Cemetery via Main Stadium of Olympic Complex and ‘Sohn Kee-jung Momorial park’ at his old school Yangjung High School.

The funeral ceremony for the late Mr. Sohn Kee-jung will be hold by KOC funeral.

Kim Byung-kwan ex- honorary chairman of Dong-A ilbo, Min Kwan-sik Honorary Chairman of KOC, Park Ji-won the Chief Secretary of President visited the mortuary for blessing his memory.

The late Mr. Sohn Kee-jung suffered from chronic diseases of renal insufficiency and pneumonia and passed away at 0:40am, 90 years old at death. There are a daughter Moonyung (61) and a son Jungin (59) as the family of the deceased.

The government conferred posthumous honors of Sports Blue Dragon Order on him by the decision of National Administration Meeting at 15th.
