Showing a price of liquors based on a demand and supply like a stock price, `Wall Sgreet Bar` has appeared for the first time in Korea.
On the 1st basement of Seoul Hilton Hotel located in Namdaemun-ro Jung-gu Seoul, `Areno` opened last month has started an operation of the second `Wall Street Bar` from November 14.
`Wall Street Bar` is named from the Wall Street of New York, USA where is the center of the world finance. The bar firstly appeared in Germany in 1996, as three German men got a idea from a scene of stock market broadcasted on TV while drinking liquors at bar.
`Areno` selected trading items of beer, wine, champagne, whisky, vodka, Tequila and cognac.
These items turn into red when the price increases and turn into green when the price decreases on the large electric bulletin board of 4.5m * 2m. When the visitor orders the item for the price, a bartender inputs the orders state and then the computer automatically determines the new price in the unit of 2 minutes.
The maximum ups and downs of liquor price vary depending on items such as 2000∼15,000 won for beer and 320,000 ∼600,000 won for cognac. The electric bulletin board indicates the standard price, upper limit price, lower limit price and slump price.
In particular, `Slump Session` is a highlight of Wall Street Bar once a day.
When a bell suddenly rings and all figures of an electric bulletin board flashes in yellow, it informs visitors of the crash session`. At that time, visitors can order a desire liquor at prices decreased up from 1/3 to 1/8.
`Areno` gives a voucher indicating the kind of liquor and transaction time to visitors. When visitors present such voucher, they can drink it any time and can sell it to others for the higher price.
