The most difficult thing for sportsmen is to control weight, especially for the sports men of weight games, controlling weight is very hard job.
Kim Young-dae (26, Hyundai Heavy Industry) of Halla weight level of Korean Wrestling is not the exception. Kim Young-dae has always war against weight before a game to keep the weight below the limitation of 100 Kg. Because of the difficulty, he used to ask director Kim Chil-kyu to transfer him to heavier level Baekdu, but the director doesn`t allow.
Now, it is the time for him to challenge to Baekdu level because there is no enemy in Halla level.
At 18th, 2002 Seragem Andong Wrestling Championship in Andong Sports center, there was a final game between Kim Young-dae and Cho Bum-jae (26, Shinchang Construction).
Kim Yuong-dae came up final game in groggy because controlling weight and wounded on left ankle in Wonju Champion ship in September. To make thing worse is that he had difficult seminal game with rival Mo Jae-wook (27, LG Investment securities) who shared championships of Halla with Kim nine times respectively.
Cho Bum-jae was one year senior of Kim in Incheon University and knows about Kim very well. With suffering difficulties, Kim Young-dae gained 10th championship in his life.
Under the tie score of 2-2, in the last round, Kim Young-dae tackled inside with right leg. They competed in physical strength under legs twisted and fell down almost at the same time. Judges decided Cho Bum-jae`s right arm touched ground first and Kim Young-dae gained the championship.
He gained three consecutive championships from Seosan Game in July to Wonju Game in September and total 10th championship. The record of the largest number of championship in Halla is 12 championships of Kim Sun-chang (Shinchang Construction).
