Mobile Phone 3D Terminal “Korea Wonderful”

Korea terminals have been sold on the 3G mobile phone market after 2G market.

According to the communication industries on September 19, as the mobile communication companies have recently set to 3G service focused on a wireless Internet application from 2G of voice call in earnest, the Korean terminals with excellent functions and stability are popularized in the international market.

Foreign service industries prefer to the verified Korean terminals for a stable settlement of newly introduced 3G service.

Samsung Electronics has supplied 3G CDMA terminals from April and exported 200 units only to Sprint PCS a year. It plans to supply 3G terminals of 4 million units to US, Brazil, Australia, Israel and China this year.

LG Electronics aims at exporting approx. 4million~5 million units of 3G terminals. Its major exports partners are ‘Verizon Wireless’, US mobile phone firm, and ‘China Unicom’ which started 3G CDMA service this year.

As the orders have increased, the exports of 3G terminals will exceed 10 million units within the year.

Sprint has started the mobile phone photographing and transmission service by using a camera built-in terminal of Samsung Electrics and LG Electrics. Verizon Wireless started the mobile phone positioning service through GPS chip built-in terminal of Samsung Electronics. China Unicom will purchase 700,000 units of terminals respectively from Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics for 3G service which will be started at the end of the year.

Ji Yeong-Man, an executive director of Wireless business dept., Samsung Electronics said “Owing to a rapid increase of 3G terminal market, the market share of Korean terminal with advanced functions such as a camera phone, color screen, stereo sound and bell sound will increase to 60% level.”
