While there is a debate between firm opinions and prudence opinions about attacking Iraq, the Vice President Dick Chenny declared with firm voice the necessity of containment offensive to expel the Sadam Hussein Administration on the 26th.

The Vice President Chenny, who represents the firm party inside the George W. Bush Administration spoke at the General Meeting of the Veterans Association, held at Nashville, Tennessee, “There is no doubt that Iraq has massive killing weapons,” and stressed, “if we just observe this and do nothing, it will accompany more danger than to act.”

The New York Times reported on the 27th that the speaking of the Vice President Chenny was the strongest of the related speeches of containment offensive by the Bush Administration officials, and it could be understood as management to react to the debate on approval of attack in the House and the prudent ideas inside the Republican Party.

Before that the White House officials said, “The President Bush received a report from the legal advising committee that he did not need an approval from the House when attacking Iraq.”

Since there were criticizing opinions aroused about that, the White House Spokesman Arry Flisher held a press conference and explained, “The President Bush will discuss when attacking Iraq,” but he did not explained in detail whether the ‘discussion’ meant ‘approval by the House vote’ or not.

The prominent Senators of the Republican Party Alan Spector and Chuck Heigel said about the strong speaking of the Vice President Chenny and debate on approval of the House, “Attacking Iraq is a matter of House discussion,” and “the people are confused on the fact that the Vice President Chenny spoke about the attack other than the President himself.”

The President Bush is known to speak about attacking Iraq in detail at the General Assembly of United Nation on the 12th.
