North Korea`s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland said on the 1st that the Norther Limit Line was not the borderline in the West Sea and that a new borderline should be decided under the agreement between North Korea and the US.

According to the state-owned broadcasting system in North Korea, the committee argued in its white paper that the NLL was arbitrarily drawn by the US without any consent from North Korea.

The committee said that if the US and South Korea demand that North Korea abide by the maritime border, which the North does not admit, it would be a tinder box of conflict and war. The committee also added that North Korea and the US should sit down together to solve the border dispute in accordance with the Armistice Agreement.
