"Round of 16 " Nationwide Red Shout

‘Red Wave’ has spread over the whole country.

300,000 people gathered in the Sejong-ro Intersection, Seoul to pray the last victory of Korean team. In Korea, 47 million people became ‘Be the Reds’ all over the country at that day and waited for a moment of a deciding match with one accord.

As of the 14th of the month (8:30PM), the whole country became the hot passionate stage to confirm the enthusiastic power of the Korean just before the Korea-Portugal match in Incheon Munhak World Cup Stadium at 8:30 PM on 14th of the month.

Hearing that the Japan, co-hosts of 2002 FIFA World Cup advanced to the round of 16, Koreans prayed the round of 16 of the Korean team.

One citizen said “I believe our Korean team. We can go to the round of 16. We will be able to perform the World Cup successfully through harmony of all people”.

On the other hand, Japan won the game against Tunisia by a score of 2-0 in the match of Group H held in Osaka, Japan. Japan advanced to the round of 16 after it participated twice in the World Cup.

In the match, Morisima Hiroaki and Nakata Hidetosi made goals at 3 minutes and 30 minutes of the second half of the game respectively. Japan came in first beating Tunisia.

Belgium won the game against Russia by the score of 3-2, and so advanced to the round of 16 as the second places of the group.

Japan will play the match with Turky (2nd place of Group C) in Miyagi on 18 June, and Belgium

will play the match with Brazil in Kobe on 17 June.
